2017 FFRFMCC Non-Theist Winter Holiday Displays Proudly Share The Secular Voice!

The FFRF Daley Center Plaza display in Chicago was erected on Tuesday, November 21st.  Our 5 foot lighted Dawkins Scarlet “A” (for atheism) sign is now perched atop our Founding Fathers Nativity/Winter Solstice banners, and adorned in festive garland.

At North School Park in Arlington Heights, we are now proudly displaying the 5 foot high Founding Fathers Nativity cutout sign, which will shine brightly during the evening in front of a spotlight.  This decoration was placed on Saturday, November 25th.  Both will be on display through the end of December.

The objectives of our decorations are threefold:  (1) To celebrate the Winter Solstice – the TRUE reason for the season; (2) To honor our Bill of Rights, ratified on December 15th, 1791, and (3) To counter the placement of religious imagery on government property.

We thank our team of volunteers who donated their time and energy to make sure the non-theist voice is heard.

Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays and Merry Winter Solstice to all!
