The FFRFMCC to Co-Sponsor Roy Zimmerman in Concert!

The FFRFMCC is proud to announce it will be co-sponsoring next month’s Second Saturday Coffeehouse at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago.  The evening will feature progressive satirical singer/songwriter Roy Zimmerman, who will be in town on his current national tour, ReZist.
ReZist is ninety minutes of Roy Zimmerman’s original songs, a funny and forceful affirmation of Peace and Social Justice. Says Roy, “Sometimes I think satire is the most hopeful and heartfelt form of expression, because in calling out the world’s absurdities and laughing in their face, I’m affirming the real possibility for change.”

Roy’s songs have been heard on HBO and Showtime, and his videos have garnered tens of millions of views.  He has recorded for Warner/Reprise Records. He’s shared stages with Bill Maher, Ellen DeGeneres, Holly Near, Robin Williams, Arlo Guthrie, John Oliver, Kate Clinton and George Carlin, and tours the country constantly with his wife and co-writer Melanie Harby, poking fun at everything from conservative “family values” to politics to religious dogma.

The Ethical Humanist Society’s Second Saturday Coffeehouse, featuring Roy Zimmerman, will take place:

Date: Saturday, May 12th, 2018 Time: 8:00 PM (doors will open at 7:30 PM)

Place: The Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago, 7574 Lincoln Ave., Skokie, IL 60077

Cost: $20 suggested donation

The FFRFMCC will provide refreshments before and after the performance. And Roy will be selling copies of his CDs!

With all the turmoil we are currently experiencing in our country, Roy will provide us with some much needed levity.  So, please join in for an evening of fun and frivolity!
